Insomniacs „Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart“ ist mit sechs Nominierungen im Rennen, „It Takes Two“ und „Psychonauts“ sind jeweils fünfmal nominiert. Insgesamt werden 30 Auszeichnungen verlieren. Die Game Awards 2021 werden am 9. Dezember 2021 live aus dem Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles gestreamt.
